To celebrate the end of Michaelmas term and the calendar year, Katie Stobbs, Principal of Stephenson College invited all Stephenson students, staff and SCR members to a Christmas get-together at 17.00 on Thursday 11 December 2025. The event will run in Platform 1, Wylam, Stephenson College.  Mulled wine, non-alcoholic refreshments and mince pies will be provided and Christmas songs will be performed by Durham University Staff Choir.

Bring your friends along for a vibrant Diwali celebration night featuring a live performance and interactive dance demonstration run by the ‘Bollywood Dance Society’ alongside exciting cultural activities and themed drinks (including non-alcoholic options!)

Bring your friends for an afternoon of creativity and cultural celebration in preparation for Diwali. Join us in Platform 2 for Diya (lantern) painting and a rangoli making session using chalk, coloured sand and flower petals. Enjoy free chai and Indian snacks while competing for a special prize.

The Student Money Advisor is a part of the Durham Student Wellbeing Team. They offer advice and support to students with money-related issues, including budgeting, money management, government benefits, banking and general financial concerns.

They will visit the College during this event to offer signposting and support to Stephenson Students
